Program Description

The lessons program is a perfect place for brand new divers, of all ages, to begin the sport of diving. Lessons groups will focus on building a strong foundation for all divers interested in learning diving, progressing to our junior team, or remaining in the recreational lesson.

Divers will learn body positions, basic diving-tumbling exercises, and foundational diving skills off multiple apparatus including trampoline, dryboard, springboard, and platform. Divers will progress their skills as they demonstrate mastery and safety in all beginning skills.

Goals

To gain a love for diving while learning integral skills to lead divers to our junior and elite teams
Learning basic body positions for diving
Gain flexibility and basic movement literacy

TUITION

• Atlantic Diving Team tuition is based on an average number of days per week diving. A diver is designated certain practice times during the week and will remain on that schedule unless a change is made either by request, or on the recommendation of the coach.

WHAT'S INCLUDED?

• It is important to note that divers and parents are committing to a "diving program" and not just paying for practice or an activity. Tuition pays for pool time (practice), a professional coaching staff, conditioning, TiVo video training, USA Diving and AAU meet expertise and strategy, High School diving strategy and expertise, overall meet tactics and strategy, and membership in the the best diving club on the planet!

RECREATIONAL LEVELS

• Learn to Dive - The goal of this program is to introduce basic diving skills required for the safe practice of diving. This is for children that have not taking diving before. After finishing the Learn To Dive program (8 or 12 Lessons), divers will be moved to the Future Junior Team. Children will take a minimum of two lessons per week. Lessons will be scheduled on availability.

1 Hour Lesson
$100 (2x per week) | $150 (3x per week)

Additional Siblings:
$80 (2x per week) | $120 (3x per week)

(1) Learn To Dive Skill Progresion

• Future Junior Team - This program is designed to teach and improve more complex diving skills and prepare divers for competition on different levels. Lesson will be schedule on availability. After divers learn all 5 groups (forward group, backward group, inward group, reverse group, and twisting group), divers will be moved to the Junior Team.

1 1/2 Hour Lesson
$150 (2x per week) | $200 (3x per week) | $250 (4x per week)

Additional Siblings:

• Adult Diving - Think you're "too old" to dive? ... Think again!
We offer a USA Diving fun and challenging introductory class for adults of all ages who wish to learn new skills at their own pace. Come try a fun sport and a unique way to stay fit! Lessons run for 1.5 Hours, and class consists of 30 minutes of warm-up and conditioning and 60 minutes of working on skills from the diving boards.

Team Registration

To join the Atlantic Diving Team, all new members are required to join USA Diving and AAU diving as well as to review & fill out all proper documents shown below. Please download our PDF registration form and fill-out the forms complete with signature.

STEP 1 - REQUIRED INSURANCE

All divers must be a registered member of both USA Diving and AAU Diving. These are secondary insurance coverages. This secondary insurance covers diving practices including both the dive well and dryland facility training. This coverage only takes effect after your primary insurance and deductibles are paid. Please read each organization’s descriptions for more information on specific coverages.

Please sign up for USA Diving Membership online. You may want to print this information first and then follow the directions. This allows your child/diver to practice & compete in USA Diving meets and provides additional, required, insurance for your child/diver.

FINA 18+ ATHLETES: Any athlete turning 18 in current year MUST complete a background check AND a Safe Sport Certification in order to be eligible to compete in any USA Diving event.

STEP 2 - REGISTRATION FORM

Cancellation

Any diver choosing to leave the team will need to provide cancellation in writing via email 15 days prior to the month of cancellation. Any notice received after the 15th will be charged for the following month. All past due fees must be brought current prior to departure or the account will be sent to collections.
